This exciting ID Pharmacy Specialist opportunity is primarily days with every third weekend and some evening rotations. It requires a PGY2 residency in ID. Job Summary
Promote and coordinate the appropriate selection and usage of anti-infective agents via Anti-infective Stewardship Program Monitor and intervene on antibiotic therapy in individual patients via Anti-Infective Stewardship Program or in collaboration with the infectious disease physicians
Design and implement hospital and departmental quality improvement measures that involve anti-infective use
Attend and participate in hospital committees that address anti-infective use (Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Infection Control, etc)
Perform trending of anti-infective use data in relation to cost-savings, resistance/sensitivity patterns and other quality targets
Provide staff development and education Be responsible for staff in-service, precept pharmacy residents and students Participate at regional and national meetings whenever possible
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess a current Maine State license or be able to obtain one, as well as relocate.
Must be graduate of a 2 year PG2 with a focus on infectious disease
